Pup and Tiger exists to support the work of queer and underrepresented artists through exhibitions, publications, and public programming that prioritise equity, experimentation, and access. We believe that cultural spaces should be more than passive presenters of work—they should be active participants in shaping who gets seen, who gets paid, and who gets to belong.
As an independent organisation, we rely on the generosity of our community to sustain our mission. By becoming a Member, Associate, or Fellow, you join a growing network of individuals who believe in the power of art to imagine otherwise. Your support helps us keep our doors open, produce bold and inclusive programming, and ensure artists are paid fairly. It also enriches the cultural fabric of life in Canterbury and beyond—creating space for dialogue, visibility, and shared belonging.
This is more than a donation—it’s a shared commitment to visibility, possibility, and structural change in the arts.
As a Member of Pup and Tiger, your contribution supports the continued production of artist features, interviews, and digital content—resources that allow us to share emerging and underrepresented voices with a wider public. Members receive advance access to our exhibitions, artist calls, and upcoming projects. You’ll be the first to hear about new publications, events, and special opportunities to get involved. Members are credited on our website and in our annual supporters list, and form the core of the community sustaining our mission.
Becoming an Associate helps us deliver public exhibitions and artist-led programmes that prioritise accessibility, experimentation, and fair pay. Associates receive all the benefits of Membership, with deeper access to our programme. This includes invitations to occasional in-progress events—such as preview walkarounds, behind-the-scenes conversations with artists, and research sharings. Associates also receive complimentary copies of Soft Territories released during their year of support, offering a tangible connection to the work their support makes possible.
As a Fellow, your support strengthens our capacity to commission new work, expand our curatorial ambitions, and invest in long-term collaboration with artists working at the margins. Fellows receive all Associate benefits and are invited into closer dialogue with Pup and Tiger’s leadership as the organisation grows. Each year, Fellows are invited to a curatorial briefing with our directors, offering a look at our programme’s development, priorities, and future direction. Where applicable, Fellows are named in print and on-site materials and will be offered priority access to any bespoke events, studio visits, or gatherings as they emerge.
One-off donations help sustain the core of Pup and Tiger’s work—supporting fair artist pay, free public programming, and the production of exhibitions and publications that centre queer and underrepresented voices. Whether you’re able to give £5 or £500, your contribution strengthens our ability to remain independent, accessible, and artist-led.
